500,000 years ago, a man wearing a "Welcome" shirt arrived in the natural world. He carried himself like a ruler, first crushing insignificant insects underfoot, then turning a two-headed snake into his boots, and even using a rooster as a basketball. He ate lamb legs and wore leather jackets. Along his journey, the man wantonly forced nature to serve him, even hunting various animals. He cut down trees and dumped trash into the sea. The man enjoyed himself immensely as he wandered through the mechanical city—in this kingdom built from garbage, he was the king. Only after being killed by aliens arriving in a UFO did the word "Welcome" on his shirt remain, strikingly visible atop the garbage mountain.
This darkly humorous animated short film, filled with satire and mockery toward "human civilization's reckless harm to nature," was directed by London-based freelance artist Steve Cutts. He has previously created animations for numerous world-renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Bacardi, Toyota, Reebok, Sony PSP, and Philips.
