This animated film is adapted from a Russian folk tale, humorously capturing the essence of love.
The heron proposes to the crane, but the crane sees only his flaws and flatly rejects him. As soon as the heron turns to leave, the crane begins to think his flaws might actually be virtues and runs after the heron, saying she is willing to marry him. This time, the heron puts on airs, claiming he has changed his mind. The crane, furious, turns and leaves. After a moment of thought, the heron hurries to catch up, but the crane pays him no attention. On a rainy day, the crane feels that life with the heron would be better than being alone and goes to find him again, only for the heron to put on a rejecting face once more... And so, the heron and the crane go back and forth on the matter of marriage—one moment inseparable, the next wishing the other would vanish from sight.
