Georges Schwizgebel, born in Switzerland in 1944, is an exceptionally significant experimental animation director in the world. In 1966, he founded GDS Studio and produced several highly important animated films. His works are characterized by a strong experimental and musical quality, with the aesthetic flow of imagery being one of their defining features. Retrospective exhibitions of his work have been held in Tokyo, Rome, New York, Annecy, Montreal, and other locations.
