"The Mansion Cat" is a 2001 American television animated short film featuring the iconic cat-and-mouse duo Tom and Jerry.
This short marks the first new original Tom and Jerry short in 34 years, following 1967's "Purr-Chance to Dream," and is the 162nd installment in the overall series.
It also represents the return of creators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera to Tom and Jerry production after a 43-year hiatus since their last involvement in 1958's "Tot Watchers."
Produced by Hanna-Barbera and co-produced with Turner Entertainment, this short is the first Tom and Jerry animated film distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment following the merger of Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting System in 1996.
