"Bilal: A New Breed of Hero" is the first CG animated film from the Middle East, which was previously submitted for consideration for the 89th Academy Awards in the Best Animated Feature category. The story is set in the Arabian Peninsula, where the protagonist Bilal and his sister are enslaved by the Egyptians. However, Bilal aspires to become a warrior, inspiring the Egyptian slaves to rise up in rebellion, and ultimately becoming a superhero who motivates the Arab people.
