On Halloween night, pumpkin monsters contaminated by mysterious alien fluid run rampant, bringing unprecedented disaster to the hometown of Susan Murphy (voiced by Reese Witherspoon). After working together with her companions, Susan and the others finally defeat the pumpkin monsters. However, a nearby patch of radish fields also gets contaminated by the fluid, giving rise to menacing carrot monsters. Unlike their pumpkin predecessors who met their demise, the unlucky carrot monsters face a streak of bad luck from the moment they are born—first clumsily crashing into fences, then getting violently swatted by the scatterbrained BOB (voiced by Seth Rogen). But their power should not be underestimated. Susan's father (voiced by Jeffrey Tambor) is the first to be turned into a zombie plant, followed by General Monger (voiced by Kiefer Sutherland), who also becomes infected. In the now-deserted town, the Missing Link (voiced by Will Arnett), BOB, and Dr. Cockroach (voiced by Hugh Laurie) will stage a bizarre and hilarious battle to defend their home...
