During a school trip to the moon, fifth-grader Daichi Misaki gets lost and discovers the hidden lunar world of Rabiluna. To protect it from the clutches of the Evil Motion Empire, he summons and pilots the magical robot known as the Madō King Granzort. This is the fantasy robot action series "Madō King Granzort." This work is the first OVA installment of the anime, which originally aired on the Nippon TV network from 1989 to 1990. The original concept is by Hajime Yatate and Prince Hiroyuki, directed by Shuji Iuchi. Animation production, as with the TV series, is handled by Sunrise.
