"Battle Armor Steel Feather" is a domestic anime. Its preview PV premiered on March 22 at the "Tokyo International Anime Fair 2012," followed shortly by a domestic release of the PV. In 2045, the world is shrouded in the shadow of a new form of warfare centered around mercenary conflicts. Due to the emergence of the Bermuda Deep-Sea antimatter mineral ND, the energy conglomerate UI monopolized its mining and sales channels, creating a new generation of humanoid combat armor (AWT) and establishing a private armed mercenary organization, WINGS, which wreaks havoc worldwide. WINGS has repeatedly attacked the core defense areas of various nations, severely threatening regional security across the globe. To address this global security crisis, countries formed a global counter-terrorism organization, NAU, under the United Nations, and established a rapid response force—the BTF unit—composed of elite troops from various nations. Colonel Sun Heng of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was dispatched by his country to become the commander of the BTF unit. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Wang Jinghu of the PLA Special Tactics Bureau was captured by WINGS and infiltrated the organization.
