Happy Town is a semi-developed small town with a modest population, yet it is widely known far and wide, all because of the long-renowned "Xiaolin Temple" and "Xiangdang Sect" located on the two famous mountains within the town. Since ancient times, these two factions have been competing against each other, aiming to become the leader of the martial arts world. However, times have changed, and the martial arts world is no longer what it used to be. Although the two factions no longer vie for the position of martial arts leader, the two academies still see each other as rivals and take pleasure in teasing one another. The naturally passionate and driven, yet somewhat clumsy, Yuan Long joins "Xiaolin Temple," where he meets the clever but slightly arrogant girl Yuan Fu and the friendly yet gluttonous fatty Yuan Xiong. Together, they become good friends training at "Xiaolin Temple," embarking on adventures, training, learning, and competing within the temple. Besides Yuan Long, Yuan Fu, and Yuan Xiong, other distinctive characters also join the story, including the kind and gentle abbot, the long-winded and tedious Master Huai Ren, the stern-faced but kind-hearted Master Huai Chi, the ever-opposing Yuan Xing and Yuan Dou who constantly clash with Yuan Long's group, the steady and highly skilled senior brother Yuan Shi, who gets into hilarious misunderstandings with Yuan Long and the others, leading to bursts of laughter. They also compete and play pranks with the young disciples of the "Xiangdang Sect"—Ding Ding, Dang Dang, and Xiao Xiang—in Happy Town, sparking a series of comedic incidents.
