On this day, Donald Duck (voiced by Clarence Nash) is leisurely enjoying his hearty breakfast, with a portrait of his ancestor (voiced by Bill Thompson) hanging on the wall. In the painting, the ancestor stands tall and proud, holding a hunting rifle, with one foot planted firmly on a massive bison. This experienced old hunter’s eyes gleam with sharpness and determination. Of course, all of this feels distant and seemingly irrelevant to Donald. He casually flips open the newspaper and spots a piece of news: hunting season begins tomorrow. Upon learning this, the ancestor’s spirit can no longer rest peacefully within the painting. Breaking free from the canvas, he enters Donald’s body, taking his grandson along to the hunting grounds.
Time passes slowly and painfully. At dawn, Donald blows the hunting horn, and in an instant, gunfire erupts, shells fly, and the lush green mountains are reduced to scorched earth in the blink of an eye...
