Rui Rui and Jin Jin are first-grade classmates and childhood friends living in Beijing, both descendants of old Red Army soldiers from Ruijin. When summer vacation arrives, they travel with their families to their hometown of Ruijin for a holiday. One day, dressed in little Red Army uniforms, they visit red tourism sites with their families. In a quiet corner, they accidentally awaken Little Five, a red star sprite. Little Five loves playing with children wearing Red Army uniforms, though adults cannot see him.
