This animated series is adapted from the famous satirical novel "Don Quixote." The protagonist, Don Quixote, is an elderly gentleman over a hundred years old living in Spain. He is frail in body and stubbornly pedantic. Yet, Don Quixote immerses himself in chivalric tales all day long, determined to emulate ancient knights by traveling the world, aiding the distressed and impoverished, fighting for justice, and punishing evil. He persuades the farmer Sancho Panza to become his squire. Following the traditional ways of ancient knights, he selects a peasant girl from a neighboring village as his beloved lady. He also finds an old, emaciated horse to serve as his steed. Donning his ancestral, tattered armor, Don Quixote embarks on his chivalric adventures. 　　The story of the classic character Don Quixote is already widely known. This time, the Spanish-produced animated series "Don Quijote de la Mancha" is adapted from the original work. The series consists of 39 episodes, making it a true masterpiece of Spanish animation.
