On a bright and sunny day, Mickey (voiced by Walt Disney), Donald (voiced by Clarence Nash), and Goofy (voiced by Pinto Colvig) are cleaning an old, large clock. Each of them has their own task, and the work proceeds in an orderly manner. However, they gradually run into trouble: Mickey encounters a lazy big bird nesting in the clock tower, and no matter how hard Mickey tries to shoo it away, the bird simply refuses to leave; Donald is responsible for cleaning the gear springs, but they keep popping out one after another, driving him to distraction; Goofy is in charge of polishing the iron bell, and just as the clock strikes four, the small copper figures emerge one by one, leaving Goofy utterly dazed and confused.
