In a certain European town shrouded in thick fog, the distant melody of Scottish bagpipes drifts through the air. The morning disperses the mist, and the streets begin to bustle with noise. People of all kinds hurry through the streets and alleys, yet none of them have heads. They walk about as if nothing is amiss, occasionally bumping into others. Buses and cars move without any sense of direction, either crashing into lampposts or running over pedestrians. A bank robber rushes out like a headless fly, carelessly dropping his bag of money on the ground. In frustration, he pulls out a machine gun and fires wildly into the chaos. Amid the disorderly crowd, only Danny, with a melancholic expression, is the sole person who possesses a head. As he watches these people who seem to have no purpose or direction, he is unsure what to feel. On this day, he accidentally encounters a woman, and this meeting seems to offer him a glimmer of hope.
They grow closer, frequently meeting, until one day...
