In a world where superpowers known as "Quirks" have become commonplace, the Quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya—also known as "Deku"—encounters the legendary No. 1 Hero, All Might. Recognizing the heroic spirit within him, All Might passes on his own Quirk, "One For All," to Deku. Deku enrolls at the prestigious U.A. High School, a renowned institution for training future Heroes. Aiming to become a Hero who can save people and society with his Quirk, he grows alongside his classmates in Class 1-A of the Hero Course. Deku, along with Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki, begins an internship at the agency of the current No. 1 Hero, Endeavor. Thrown into the highest level of hero work, Deku demonstrates remarkable growth as a Hero—even awakening and mastering a new Quirk hidden within One For All: "Blackwhip." Meanwhile, Tomura Shigaraki of the League of Villains clashes violently with the Meta Liberation Army, led by Re-Destro. Cornered in battle, Shigaraki recovers the brutal, long-forgotten memories of his childhood and undergoes a terrifying awakening.
