With the advancement of technology, a battle card game touting "one card, one destiny, infinite shooting" has swept the nation. This competition is known as the "Xuanji Battle Cards" tournament, and all its battle arenas are established in Fengtian City. One night, an alarm sounded at Chuangke Tower as a thief stole crucial data called the R Program via computer upload and transmitted it online, muttering about letting it find its own companions. An Xiaowu accidentally copied a mysterious, energy-filled guide to the A Battle Arena from the library. This activated the first-generation battle card machine, Fire War Rider, which his father had given him five years ago. Most miraculously, Fire War Rider could actually speak and insisted on going to the arena to compete, claiming that if it didn’t battle within eight hours of activation, it would be sealed away again. With the help of his friend Yuan Feifei, Xiaowu secretly embarked on arena duels with Fire War Rider... Meanwhile, his grandfather, who had always opposed him playing Xuanji Battle Cards, surprisingly allowed Xiaowu to participate and hoped he would bring martial arts spirit into the game. Later, Xiaowu discovered that his classmate, top student Bai Yu, the competitive boy Ahao from the next class, and the otaku Chen Mo, who was in the same class as Ahao, all had battle card machines partnered with the R Program. During the arena challenges, Xiaowu began to uncover the hidden sides of the other four boys. The competitive Ahao went from不服气 (disbelief) at Xiaowu’s initial record-breaking performance to acknowledging Xiaowu’s abilities after being defeated by him in a challenge. Top student Bai Yu played with the battle card machine mostly to find himself within it. The timid and introverted Chen Mo turned out to be a data-control expert ranked in the top ten for points. The carefree Yuan Feifei was actually a thoughtful and meticulous boy. It was precisely through the arena competitions that these five boys with different personalities became friends. Xiaowu’s father’s return home brought the truth to light: Dr. Ou, the creator of Xuanji Battle Cards, had developed a terrifying program—Black War God. Originally intended as the ultimate player test for the X Arena, Black War God breached the firewall, absorbed network data, gained its own consciousness, and attempted to control human players. Only battle card machines equipped with the R Program could defeat Black War God. With the help of his companions, relying on their collective wisdom, unity, and the inherited martial arts spirit, Xiaowu overcame Black War God and protected the Xuanji Battle Cards that everyone loved.
