In a corner of the vast ocean lies a magical island—Happiness Island. On this island lives a group of adorable little animals, among them a brave little lion named Samba. All the little animals adore him because he is not only courageous, confident, and warm-hearted but also often comes up with wildly imaginative ideas. He frequently leads his friends on adventures, turning his ideas into action, which is why everyone loves playing with him. Always by Samba’s side is a vain little rabbit named Xiaoshuai, who constantly pulls out a mirror to admire his own handsome appearance. He is lively, mischievous, loves to laugh and play, often makes small mistakes, and is very narcissistic and impatient. Occasionally, he jinxes things, but he is also a great helper to his friends and especially loves cheering Samba on. Benny’s neighbor is a somewhat peculiar owl named Datou. He is meticulous, picky, and loves cleanliness, always making detailed plans but acting a bit sluggishly, which sometimes frustrates his friends. However, Datou invents all sorts of novel and fun gadgets that everyone loves. Among the little friends, there is also an adorable pair of siblings: Jingjing and Zhuangzhuang. Jingjing is a graceful little red panda and the little goddess of the animal community. She loves beauty, laughter, and crying—her friends occasionally find her tears hard to bear, but she often shares the cakes she makes with everyone. Zhuangzhuang is a food-loving hippopotamus and a great helper to the animals. He is honest, loyal, humble, and friendly, always eating nonstop. Perhaps it’s because of this that he has accumulated immense strength, and he quietly helps everyone whenever they need it. Of course, besides these adorable little animals, there is also a highly respected elder—Brother Sen. Brother Sen is an elderly and steady sea lion, a beloved elder figure to the animals. This group of adorable animals regularly visits Brother Sen’s home to listen to stories, embarks on adventures led by Samba, searches for magical plants, and tinkers with new inventions alongside Datou... They live fulfilling and joyful lives on Happiness Island. However, a strange father and son duo—self-proclaimed navigator Ouye and his son Xiaoye—have been searching for the legendary uninhabited island known as Happiness Island. After numerous failed attempts, they encounter the fiercest storm at sea and finally discover an island. Through sheer effort, the father and son manage to land on the island aboard their battered ship. Overjoyed to learn that this is the legendary Happiness Island, they decide to stay and make it their home. Yet, the arrival of these new neighbors disrupts the island’s peace. Forced to become neighbors, they embark on a chaotic and amusing life together.
