游子吟

Winter snow, dusk, in a traditional courtyard house in Beijing, several children knock over a bamboo basket, from which a tattered little cotton-padded jacket falls out, plunging their father, who has just returned from court, into deep thought: "Let me tell you a story..." A young boy dressed in a worn-out cotton coat is about to face his first major examination, the "Child Scholar Test." He longs for a new cotton-padded jacket to wear for the exam, but coming from a poor family, he can only bury this small wish deep in his heart. As the night grows darker, will the little boy's wish come true? This film is dedicated to mothers all over the world.
