"Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (English: Star Wars: Clone Wars) is the first animated production in the history of Hollywood's highest-grossing film series, Star Wars. This animated series was written and produced by George Lucas, directed by Dave Filoni, produced by Catherine Winder, and distributed by Warner Bros. The series takes place between the second film in the Star Wars saga, "Attack of the Clones," and the third film, "Revenge of the Sith." However, it does not have a direct connection to the main storyline and primarily explains how the Hutt leader Jabba forms an alliance with the Republic.
