Released on July 14, 1984, as part of the "Toei Manga Matsuri" lineup in Toei theaters, "The♥Pumpkin Wine: Nita's Love Story" has a runtime of 24 minutes. Similar to other theatrical versions of TV anime at the time, the theme songs were reused from the television series (the opening sequence was shown without lyric subtitles). "Nita's Love Story" is treated as a subtitle. This film is the seventh theatrical release from TV Asahi's Monday 7:30 PM anime slot, following the six films from the preceding series "Ikkyū-san," and effectively became the last one in this lineup.
