In November 2015 at the G-STAR game exhibition, Nexon announced a project to adapt three of its published online games into web animations: "Arpiel Story," "Elsword," and "Closers." The animated version of "Elsword" was to be produced by the newly established animation company Red Dog Culture House, founded in 2014. Notably, the script was collaboratively written by four webcomic authors in sequence: Seri, Choe Bbib, Lim Jae-hyung, and Lee Hyun-min. Seri had previously co-created the main promotional webcomic for "Arpiel Story" with her partner Biwan. The animation was planned to consist of 11 episodes, each approximately 12 minutes long.
In December 2016, "Elsword: El Lady" and "Closers: Side Blacklambs" held advance screening events, but there was no news regarding "Arpiel: Six Destinies."
In early 2018, a YouTube user inquired with Red Dog Culture House about the latest updates on the animation and was told that production had been completed and was awaiting release by Nexon.
However, on December 6, 2018, the Korean server of the game was shut down, rendering the animation meaningless for promotional purposes. It was ultimately shelved by Nexon. With the Japanese server also closing at the end of May 2021, hopes for the animation's broadcast nearly vanished.
After watching the officially uploaded trailer and opening theme, viewers generally agreed that "Arpiel: Six Destinies" featured exquisite artwork and smooth action sequences. Unfortunately, it never aired, ending only in regret.
