"Exercise, Health, Nutrition" are the highest living principles in the Vegetable Kingdom, where they hold the "Super Vegetable Cup" tournament every four years, as passionately followed as the human World Cup. As the 101st "Super Vegetable Cup" approaches, every vegetable child dreams of achieving excellent results, hoping to reach Adventure Island for the final showdown and claim the championship.
Little winter melon Duoduo's grandfather and father were both superstar athletes in the Vegetable Kingdom, so everyone places high hopes on Duoduo. However, Duoduo is a child who dislikes exercise and has always performed poorly in sports. He also shares common childish flaws like cunning and caring too much about face. With the tournament nearing, the people around him, especially his friends, are filled with expectations for Duoduo, making him extremely anxious inside. Just then, Duoduo's gluttonous cat—Miaofu—suddenly starts speaking. Miaofu gives Duoduo a jar of lucky stars, granting him magical powers that help him pass the selection trials, turning Duoduo into a widely admired little star.
However, the side effects of the lucky stars also bring Duoduo many troubles and challenges. Driven by growing vanity, the celebrated Duoduo begins to change—becoming selfish, suspicious, and confused. These crises make him feel the loneliness and loss of being separated from his friends. Through a series of reflections and conversations, Duoduo realizes that achievements gained through shortcuts do not bring true happiness. Yet, in the final competition on Adventure Island, the side effects of the lucky stars once again present a series of enormous challenges to the vegetable friends.
