Many demons and spirits from the mortal realm, regardless of their magical power or origins, have been captured and imprisoned within an illusory realm designed to trap such beings. The only way to escape is to kill one another; only the demon with the highest power and the greatest number of kills can break free. The cat demon Tan Shuang, the painting demon Dai Yan, and the tree demon Qing Huai are all caught in this illusionary prison, where they meet and form a partnership to escape together. On their journey to freedom, however, the illusory realm becomes plagued by uncontrollable corpse demons, spawned by the ice-and-snow attribute monster Xue Wuxin. If left unchecked, these corpse demons will not only hinder the group's escape but also threaten the life of Yuan Li, the immortal disciple who oversees the demons within the realm. Should Yuan Li die, the illusory realm will descend into chaos, making escape even more hopeless. Thus, Tan Shuang, Dai Yan, and Qing Huai resolve to find Xue Wuxin and eradicate the corpse demons at their source...
