The story begins with the male protagonist waking up in the "afterlife" after his death. In the school of the "afterlife," he meets a girl named Yuri, who leads an organization called the "Shinda Sekai Sensen" (Afterlife Battlefront), abbreviated as "SSS." The main purpose of the "SSS" is to fight against the god who bestowed upon them their sorrowful fates in life, as well as the god's messenger—the Angel. Faced with the Angel's supernatural abilities beyond ordinary reason, the "SSS" can only resist using guns. And so, a tale of supernatural battles unfolding in the school of the "afterlife" begins...
