"Zannen Chūkōnen no Kenkō Mie Kōza" features Zaizen and Kumada, characters from the capricious concept series that has been serialized in "Big Comic Spirits" since 1981, as the main protagonists. The anime centers on Zaizen, a trend-sensitive middle-aged man who flaunts his health-conscious knowledge to those around him and boasts about it on social media, and Kumada, his polar opposite—a middle-aged man who brags about his sedentary lifestyle and overindulgence while paradoxically fearing health check-ups.
