On an alien planet inhabited by mechanical lifeforms, a citizen named Clyde (Computer Linked Yield Driven Entity) is exiled for developing a sense of humor—a concept despised by the members of his world. He eventually crash-lands on Earth, where he is discovered by two children, Samantha and her brother Max, who install him into their father's jukebox. He reveals himself and befriends them, taking them on various adventures where they encounter malfunctioning technology or technology being used for evil purposes, and together they set these wrongs right.
