An adaptation of Fujio Akatsuka's gag manga that sparked a massive "Shee" craze among children in the 1960s. The six nearly identical sextuplet brothers—eldest Osomatsu, followed by Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu—are so alike that even their parents sometimes struggle to tell them apart. Alongside various characters like the short-tempered Chibita and the self-proclaimed "returnee from France" Iyami, the sextuplets stir up chaos day after day. The anime was primarily produced by Studio Zero, where Fujio Akatsuka was also a member, and Children's Corner. Children's Corner was a production company founded by staff associated with Toei Animation (then known as Toei Doga), and the animation quality of this work was exceptionally high for its time. Another notable topic is that one of the opening themes was sung by Makoto Fujita.
