The Legend of the Crane An orphaned girl named Crane Mei, while trying to rescue an injured young crane, meets a boy named Haisheng. Haisheng's kind-hearted mother takes Crane Mei in. During a fishing trip, Haisheng encounters a storm and tragically falls into the water... To comfort his ailing mother, Crane Mei conceals the truth and sets out alone to fetch a doctor. Exhausted both physically and mentally, and struggling on the muddy road, she unfortunately falls from a bridge and transforms into a beautiful crane. However, Haisheng, having been rescued unexpectedly, returns home. When he learns that Crane Mei is no longer in this world, he is overcome with grief and sorrow, gradually transforming into a red-crowned crane that cries out mournfully toward the sky...
