Sliced apart by the aberration-slaying wielded by Yozuru Kagenui, Koyomi Araragi died—but the supposedly deceased Koyomi awakens in a certain place. There, he finds Mayoi Hachikuji, who should have already attained peace. To the bewildered Koyomi, she declares: "This place is—Araragi-san. Hell." And thus, Koyomi comes to understand the meaning of his death. The story that reveals what Koyomi Araragi is made of, and the story that uncovers all "beginnings," reaches its conclusion here—
