While the film carries the exaggerated flair characteristic of the Great Leap Forward era—such as grain piled up like small hills, a chili pepper carried by two people, and a cabbage transported by cart—magnifying the belief in human conquest over nature, the creators skillfully and creatively integrate the rustic simplicity, childlike charm, and exaggerated human forms typical of peasant paintings. The style remains harmonious and unified, showcasing innovation in artistic expression. It also offers valuable experience in using national forms to depict realistic themes.
