The anime follows protagonists Xiao Dai and Lao Dai, living in a 21st-century city, experiencing the coldness and warmth of society. Lao Dai is a somewhat learned middle-aged man, accompanying his son Xiao Dai alone. Fearing that Xiao Dai might be influenced by the negative aspects of the world, Lao Dai showers him with extra care and protection. Sometimes, however, excessive concern backfires—Xiao Dai becomes intensely curious about anything new. They encounter con artists, thieves, and bandits, but also meet living Lei Fengs and heroic figures who bravely stand up for justice. Of course, the usually timid Lao Dai occasionally displays heroic moments too. Xiao Dai is no timid child; he is extremely curious, clever, and mischievous—don’t be fooled by his seemingly simple appearance... The story is characterized by exaggeration, humor, and satire, leaving viewers with deep reflection and lasting impressions.
