"Mysterious Island" (English: Xcalibur) is a 40-episode 3D computer-animated series jointly produced by Canada and France. It premiered on Canada's YTV channel from November 1, 2001, to April 1, 2002, with each episode lasting approximately 30 minutes. In mainland China, it aired on CCTV Children's Channel's "Cartoon World" and "Big Windmill" segments. This series is primarily inspired by the legendary tales of the Knights of the Round Table, King Arthur, and his righteous sword Excalibur from British lore. It features exquisite 3D animation and a mysterious soundtrack, vividly bringing to life the famous myths, magic, wizards, heroes, warriors, and dragons of ancient Europe in a fantastical on-screen world.
