"The Boondocks" is an American animated series created by Aaron McGruder. The show shares the same setting as the comic strip of the same name, following the Freeman family—a Black grandfather and his two grandsons—as they move from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, to the predominantly white community of Woodcrest. Much of the series' comedy stems from the clash of cultures, lifestyles, and racial dynamics.
