Long, long ago, our land was in full bloom, caressed by the spring breeze. The Pan spirits blew their horns, hopping and skipping across the grass as soft as a carpet. Behind them was the beautiful and gentle Goddess of Spring, dancing with graceful movements as she received the praise and reverence of all living beings in the world. But just then, the sky darkened, fierce winds howled, and lightning flashed with thunder. The earth suddenly split open, and raging flames shot toward the heavens. At the center of the fire stood the terrifying Demon King of the Underworld, who forced the goddess to become his queen and, without a word, abducted the defenseless goddess. The Demon King’s palace echoed with horrifying songs and music. The demons were celebrating a marriage that deserved nothing but curses. The Demon King tried every means to make the goddess happy, yet not a trace of a smile ever appeared on her face.
For the sake of all living beings on earth, the Demon King and the Goddess of Spring made an eternal, unbreakable promise…
