On a sunny day, by the side of a great river, a large group of beavers gathered. They worked busily and nervously, with clear division of labor, seemingly building a dam across the river. Some drove stakes, others gathered timber, each contributing to the best of their abilities. Of course, timber was the most scarce resource, so a considerable number of beavers climbed onto the embankment to fell trees. Their teeth were extremely sharp, and fine logs were cut down in an instant, then transported to the riverside. The beavers sang and danced, not feeling the slightest bit of hardship, as if enjoying a grand festival.
Just then, the weather changed abruptly. Dark clouds gathered, and the once clear sky was suddenly filled with thunder and rain. The beavers working on the construction scattered in all directions, but they overlooked the fact that the dam they were building was still imperfect. As the heavy rain poured down and the flood surged, the dam faced a devastating impact...
