The holy war between his 108 subordinates—the Specters—and Athena's Saints, which began in Sanctuary and continued into the Underworld, is now about to shift to a new battlefield... Athena, pursuing Hades, vanished beyond the final boundary of the underworld—the "Wailing Wall." The twelve Gold Saints sacrificed their lives to open a passage to Elysion, where Athena is headed. The remaining Bronze Saints—Seiya and his comrades—empowered by the divine protection of Athena's blood on their Cloths, advance toward the final battleground: Elysion. The infinite field where only gods may tread, Elysion... In this land of silence, Seiya and his friends are met by the God of Death, Thanatos, and the God of Sleep, Hypnos. Before their overwhelming power, the Saints are brought to the brink of despair. But at that very moment, a miracle occurs with their Cloths! To rescue Athena and return her God Cloth to her, Seiya and his comrades are determined to thwart Hades's plan—the "Greatest Eclipse," which would bring eternal darkness to the Earth.
