Magician Mickey is a 1937 Walt Disney Mickey Mouse cartoon, originally released to theaters on February 6, 1937. Mickey puts on a magic show, but is constantly interrupted by a heckler, Donald Duck, whom he in turn tries to get his revenge on through his magic tricks.
This cartoon sometimes deletes the scene where Goofy gets electrocuted when he sticks his finger in a live light socket.
In a grand and opulent theater, elegant symphony music begins to play. Amidst the audience's enthusiastic applause, Goofy (voiced by Pinto Colvig) draws open the grand curtain, signaling the start of a magnificent performance. Shortly after, Mickey (voiced by Walt Disney) strides confidently to the center of the stage. He is a magician, here to perform astonishing magic tricks for the audience. However, his performance is soon disrupted. It turns out that Donald Duck (voiced by Clarence Nash), seated near the stage, is making loud noises, heckling, and willfully interfering with Mickey's act. From then on, Mickey engages in a series of magical showdowns with this troublesome fellow...
The scene where Goofy sticks his hand into an electrical socket to light a bulb is deleted in some versions of this film.
