Suzan Pitt is considered one of the most renowned independent experimental animation artists of our time. Her work "Asparagus" once won an award at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival alongside David Lynch's "Eraserhead."
Since 1970, Suzan Pitt has created 15 animated works, often collaborating with musicians, including "Bowl" (1970), "Asparagus" (1979), and "Joy Street" (1995), among others. Her works have been screened at numerous film festivals, salon exhibitions, universities, and museums worldwide, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Walker Art Center, and Yale University. She has received awards such as the Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship (an award specifically established for public art projects), the Fulbright Scholar Grant, and the Harvard University Research Grant. Additionally, she has taught at many universities and recently served as a faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts.
