In a dimly lit, old and dilapidated apartment building devoid of vitality, it seems as though youthful energy has never lingered. 　　 The plump, elderly single woman leads a simple, monotonous daily life. For her, perhaps the only joy lies in soaking in a bathtub filled with hot water, with a model ship floating on the surface. She closes her eyes and quietly savors the passage of time, perhaps reminiscing about the happy moments of her youth. 　　 Downstairs lives an elderly amateur musician of similar age. He regularly prepares a small dish to entertain fellow enthusiasts for indoor string performances at his home, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Though the two neighbors hardly ever communicate, they can still feel the warmth of human connection in crucial moments... 　　 This film was nominated for the 1992 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
