Following the great successes of classic works such as the "Toy Story" series, "Finding Nemo," "Up," "WALL-E," "Monsters University," and others, Pixar Animation Studios will release its 15th feature-length animated film in 2014—"The Good Dinosaur" (tentative translation). The film is currently in intense production, with very little material available for disclosure. The only information released so far includes the director, the North American release date, and the story concept.
"The Good Dinosaur" is directed by Bob Peterson, one of Pixar's veterans, who co-directed "Up" and has voiced characters in many Pixar animations. This time, in addition to serving as director, he also conceived the film's story—what would the world be like if, 65 million years ago, the asteroid had not struck Earth and caused the dinosaurs to go extinct? "The Good Dinosaur" expands from this idea, telling the grand adventure of an Apatosaurus and a young boy.
