Layer by layer, the opulent and heavy curtains slowly draw open. The violinist Mickey (voiced by Walt Disney) strides toward the stage with an air of haughty confidence, yet he stumbles and falls, drawing snickers from the audience. He then makes several more mistakes, each met with successive waves of laughter. Mickey promptly adjusts his emotions, remaining unfazed, and performs Schumann's "Träumerei" and Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody" with full, precise feeling. Moved to the depths of his soul, he even brings himself to tears. Amidst enthusiastic applause, Mickey calmly exits the stage, only to return for an encore due to the audience's fervent demand, performing the "William Tell Overture."
He is so immersed, so forceful, that both his violin and bow shatter into pieces...
