In the castle of King Arthur from the Middle Ages, the king is holding a meeting with the Knights of the Round Table, discussing how to retrieve the Singing Sword stolen by the Black Knight. Easier said than done—the Black Knight has entrusted the Singing Sword to a fire-breathing dragon for protection, and the Knights of the Round Table are terrified at the news. At this moment, the king’s jester, Bugs Bunny, mocks that "only a fool would try to get the Singing Sword back," which angers the king, who then sends him on the mission. 　　Bugs Bunny reluctantly ventures alone into the Black Knight’s castle. Finding both the Black Knight and the dragon asleep, he successfully retrieves the Singing Sword. However, the awakened sword sings loudly, rousing the Black Knight and the dragon. A fierce and amusing battle over the sword ensues between Bugs Bunny and the evil foes... 　　This film won the 1959 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
