In medieval Europe, within a solemn and majestic town, night falls. The brave swordsman Jerry walks along the deserted streets with his clumsy little apprentice, Nibbles. Suddenly, Jerry stops and carefully listens to a conversation in a room above the castle. It turns out that a grand banquet is to be held in the town that very night. The strict commander orders the guard officer Tom to protect the feast on the table with his life—should he fail, he will face the punishment of beheading. Tom stands ready, not daring to slack off in the slightest. However, Jerry has long set his sights on this feast, and with the fearless Nibbles causing all sorts of trouble, this is destined to be a restless night. 　　 In the brilliantly lit banquet hall, brave swordsmen stake their honor and lives in a decisive battle... 　　 This film won the 1952 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film.
