The story follows protagonist Kyoko Mogami, who was originally just a junior high school graduate from Kyoto. At the request of her childhood friend, Sho Fuwa, she gave up high school and followed him to Tokyo. Sho Fuwa worked hard to become an entertainer, while Kyoko took care of him by working multiple part-time jobs every day, completely neglecting herself without any regrets. Shortly after arriving in Tokyo, Sho quickly rose to fame and began distancing himself from Kyoko. Finally, one day, Kyoko discovers that Sho was merely using her. Deeply hurt, Kyoko completely loses her ability to love and her hope of being loved. Because of Sho's words, "If you want revenge, enter the entertainment industry," Kyoko, fueled by immense resentment, resolves to become an entertainer to strike back hard against Sho Fuwa. (The subsequent story follows her efforts and development from there.)
