Miasma Town is a place where storms never cease. All hunchbacked children born there are taken by mad scientists to serve as assistants, and they are all named Igor. The scientists in the town take pride in creating evil inventions, and winning the annual "National Evil Science Fair" is the ultimate dream for every scientist. Among them is an assistant named Igor (voiced by John Cusack), who works for one of the scientists. Unwilling to remain an assistant for life, Igor aspires to become a scientist himself and win first place at the fair. Just two weeks before the event, his master, Dr. Glickenstein (voiced by Eddie Izzard), suddenly dies, presenting Igor with a golden opportunity. Risking execution, he assumes the doctor's identity to enter the competition. In a short time, he creates his first invention—Eva (voiced by Molly Shannon). However, secrets never stay buried forever, and Igor's impersonation is eventually discovered. How will Igor overcome the challenges to fulfill his dream...
