In Canada's Emerald National Park, two wolf packs live completely separate lives. Among them, Kate (voiced by Hayden Panettiere) is the daughter of the western pack's alpha. To her, principles, duty, and responsibility outweigh everything else. Humphrey (voiced by Justin Long) comes from the other pack—carefree, cheerful, and a lover of life. Kate is about to marry Garth (voiced by Chris Carmack), the son of the eastern pack's alpha, not for love, but to prevent a terrible war that is on the verge of breaking out between the two packs. However, fate has other plans. On the wedding day, Kate and Humphrey are captured by forest rangers and taken to Idaho's "Sawtooth" National Park. To avoid an unnecessary war between their packs, the two escape and begin their journey back. Can they return before the war erupts and resolve the conflict... This film was nominated for the 83rd Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
