This is a story about love and invention. In the sunny countryside, a beautiful young woman falls in love with a man riding a mechanical horse. The man plucks a rose as a token of their love. Soon after, the couple marries, and the wife bids farewell to her hometown, following her husband to live in the mechanical city. At first, everything in the mechanical city seems novel and wonderful. As time passes, the wife discovers that all the animals and plants here are mechanical. Being so far from nature fills her with unease, and only the rose of love serves as her spiritual strength. Unaware of this, the husband discards the withered rose. From then on, the wife falls ill, her life fading day by day like the rose. To keep his wife alive, the husband makes an invention for love...
This three-dimensional silhouette animation, infused with a punk-retro style and accompanied by the deep, moving sound of a cello, tells a poignant love story without a single line of dialogue.
