1910, Paris, France. Emil (voiced by Sébastien Desjours), a cinema projectionist, and his friend Raoul (voiced by Gad Elmaleh) arrive at a scientist's laboratory to make a delivery. The scientist happens to be away, and the two men recklessly tamper with the chemicals in the lab, causing a great chaos. This results in a small flea growing into a terrifying giant monster. The monstrous flea escapes from the laboratory, causing an uproar and panic across Paris. However, in reality, this flea is gentle and innocent, possessing a pure heart. By chance, it meets the beautiful bar singer Lucille (voiced by Vanessa Paradis), who names it Francœur. Francœur possesses astonishing musical talent, and its performances with Lucille are warmly received by the public. 　　On the other hand, the greedy police chief seeks to eliminate the monster to boost his own prestige. To protect Francœur, Emil, Raoul, and Lucille join forces...
