In 2007, two films titled "Flatland" were released, both being 3D animations adapted from E.A. Abbott's "Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions." Among them, the version directed by Ehlinger is a purely independent low-budget production, but it is widely recognized as faithful to the original and considered superior to the other adaptation.
