Imagine if all the familiar animals on the African savannah turned into round, chubby creatures—and what’s more, ones filled with air. What kind of scene would that present? In the pond, a red flamingo stands on one leg in the water, its slender legs paired with a plump body resembling a cluster of pink balloons. A predator crocodile is approaching! Watch out! But maybe there’s no need to worry too much. On the dusty grassland, a chubby cheetah is chasing a chubby gazelle—well, you won’t see those classic hunting scenes from TV here, because these two silly creatures have their own hilarious performance in store. A few non-zebras are drinking by the pond; usually, predators would sneak up unnoticed, but here they remain completely unaware. On this chubby version of the savannah, anything can really happen... This film is the promotional animation for the 20th Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film in 2013.
